The girls from Panorama Ridge pony club had a great 2006/2007 year and are really looking forward to getting back to riding lessons, and stable management. We have started our weekly riding lessons with Hanneke Saunders teaching dressage, and will be starting stable management with Boundary Bay ponyclub soon.
Rally was alot of fun this year with most of our members attending and being very successful. Alot of fun was had both in the barn areas and at the campsite and we look forward to next years rally. Hopefully we can have 100% attendance next year and make it a real club event. Attending this year were : Colby Stafford, Ashley Sahota, Mireya Hooper, Tracy Flesher, Lisa Flesher and Roma Nagin. Thanks to all the parents who volunteered thier time to come out.
Regional Showjumping was also well attended by our girls, and special Congratulations to Ashley Sahota for defending her pony jumper title on Timone. It was also nice to see Tracy Flesher out there on her new horse Welkin. Roma Nagin joined us for her first ever showjumping championship, on Mireya's horse Timber and placed well. Colby Stafford and Magic, Lisa Flesher on Hyack and Mireya Hooper on Colby's horse Nippy also attended and had a great day. All of the girls were succesful and had a fun day, and as always we were proud of the great sportsmanship, good attitudes and friendships displayed by our girls.
After a busy summer four of our members came out to compete at the Regional Dressage Championships held at Island 22. Colby and Magic were the top C1, and Mireya (riding Desi in thier first ever show together) , Tracy and Lisa all placed in thier individual tests. Lisa and Hyack had an outstanding day ending up the overall winners in the Training A division. Good Job Lisa!!!! Mireya and Colby were also on the 2nd place C team. It was great to see all that hard work come together. Having the dressage at Island 22 also allowed the girls to have some fun schooling xc the day before and after it was all over.
Mireya Hooper and Colby Stafford both went to Avalon Horse Trials with Colby competing for the first time ever at Training and Mireya taking Desi to a long awaited first event. It was alot of fun, and they look forward to next years events.
Lisa Flesher and Hyack, Laura Mills on Cita and Tracy Flesher on Welkin were all out at the Campbell Valley Pony Club two phase on Sept 24th. Its a great event and Thanks to everyone at Campbell Valley ponyclub for hosting this annual two phase.
Colby Stafford also had a fun trip to Nova Scotia as part of the PPG masters team. Colby has been very successful at PPG and we are all proud of her efforts. She is an outstanding representative for our club and Ponyclub in general.
We are also very happy to welcome a new member Emilie Galambos to our club. Emilie will be riding Timber this fall and Roma will be moving on to Nippy. Thanks to Colby and Mireya for sharing thier horses!
