Guide to Authors

Most contributors to this site will be posting as Authors in their Club or Committee pages. These instructions will help you to publish articles to the right place.

  1. Log in using your Club or Committee user ID & password
  2. Create a new Post using the “+ New” menu at the top of the page:
    1-New
  3. Add a title and write the article text
  4. When the content is complete, be sure to check the correct Category from the right-hand menu:
    2-Category
    and un-check “Uncategorized”. This will ensure the Post is shown on the correct page.
  5. Finally, click on the Publish button to publish the article.

If you publish your article and it does not appear on the page, the most likely cause is not having set the Category.

To add pictures or documents to your post

  1. Click on the “Media” menu under “+ New”
  2. Follow the directions for uploading the item
  3. Return to your post and click on the “Add Media” button above the article toolbar
  4. Find your picture or document and select it for the post
  5. The media file will be linked where your cursor was last positioned in the post.
