Central Ontario riders took the Champion and/or Reserve positions in all but one Division in which the Region had entries, at the Central Canada Zone Dressage Championships, held August 20 at Black's Equestrian Centre near Hamilton. This includes both "regular" and freestyle classes (dressage to music). Results are reported below from least to most difficult Division.
Regular Divisions
In the Entry Division, Maxime Weiss of the King Pony Club was Reserve Champion on Moonlight.
There were no Central Ontario Region entries in the Starter Division.
In the Pre-Training Division, Jennifer McKeen was Champion on Annie and Erin Thompson was Reserve riding Everyone Loves Lily. Both these riders are members of the Oshawa Pony Club.
Another Oshawa Pony Club member, Rachel Welsh, was the Training Division Champion riding Pippi Longstocking, with Madison Wilks of the Durham Pony Club the Reserve on Mega Cool.
Katie Stephenson of the Maple Pony Club was First Level Section A Champion riding Tybalt, while Jennifer McKeen finished in Reserve, this time riding Colwyn Tegan.
Not to be outdone, Jennifer's sister Johanna McKeen was the Champion in Second Level Section A riding Millgate Braveheart.
Freestyle Divisions
Maxime Weiss and Moonlight finished fourth in the Starter Freestyle.
There were no Central Ontario entries in the Pre-Training or Training Freestyle Divisions, nor in the Drill Team competition.
Jennifer McKeen and Colwyn Tegan were First Level Freestyle Champions, with sister Johanna McKeen and Millgate Braveheart taking the Second Level Freestyle Championship.
