The Central Ontario Region of Pony Club held its Regional Prince Philip Games Finals on Sunday, July 2 at Durward Farm between Uxbridge and Port Perry. Top three cumulative results are shown below, highlights first then details.
At the A level, Uxbridge-Scugog won the Regional championship, with a combined Temiskaming/Victoria team second and the Uxbridge-Scugog "Terminators" third. In the Masters competition, the Uxbridge-Scugog "Cowboys" team finished on top, with a mixed Durham/Temiskaming/Northwoods team second and the Uxbridge-Scugog "Rangers" third.
The top two Regional A and Masters teams go on to play for the Central Canada Zone Championship against teams from the Western Ontario and Saint Lawrence-Ottawa Valley Regions on July 19, with Central Ontario Region hosting the meet this year. The two top Eastern Canadian A level teams then play against Western Canadian representatives for the national championship on August 26-27, hosted by Central Ontario. There is also a National Masters Championship on August 12, hosted by the British Columbia Lower Mainland Region.
Uxbridge-Scugog also took the honours at the B level, with the Simcoe "Chargers" second and Toronto & North York third. At the C level, a mixed Simcoe/Temiskaming team was first, Simcoe second and Durham third.
