Here are highlight results from the Central Ontario Regional Show Jumping Finals, held on September 9 at Springfield Stables near Brooklin. Placings to tenth follow the highlights.
In this show, three divisions of Pre-Entry level riders competed in two classes each, a medal class and a Table AM5 single round plus jump-off, plus a warm-up round. The higher divisions, Entry, Starter, Beginner, Novice and Intermediate, competed in three classes each, a medal class, a Table AM5 single round with jump-off and a power and speed class, to determine a Champion and a Reserve in each division.
Pre-Entry Division A1
Colin Oldridge of the Victoria Pony Club won the single round plus jump-off class on Snow Pony Jack Pine, with another Victoria rider, Rachel Scott, second on Magic Peanuts. In the medal class, Ms Scott took the honours with Master Oldridge second. Colin Oldridge was Division Champion and Rachel Scott was the Reserve.
Pre-Entry Division A2
Brittany Reid of the Brooklin Pony Club took first place in the single round plus jump-off class on Classic Combination, with Dalton Wright of the Durham Pony Club second on Pollyanna and another Durham entry, Allison Loveridge, third on Hasty Lady. In the medal class, Master Wright took top spot, with Ms Loveridge second Ms Reid third. Dalton Wright was Division Champion and Brittany Reid was the Reserve.
Pre-Entry Division B
Kailey Rigelhof of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club won the single round plus jump-off class aboard Jellada, with Stacey Bootsma of the Rising Star Pony Club second on Reesez Piesez and Brigid Goulem of the Kawartha Pony Club third on Precious Poco. Ms Rigelhof also won the medal class, with Ms Goulem second and Ms Bootsma third. Ms Rigelhof was Division Champion with Ms Bootsma the Reserve.
Pre-Entry Schooling Division
Meagan Christou of the Victoria Pony Club finished first in both classes riding Air Express, with Johanna McKeen of the Oshawa Pony Club second in both on Millie and Christina Oldridge of Victoria third in both, also riding the hard-working Air Express. Ms Christou was Division Champion and Ms McKeen was the Reserve.
Entry Division
Kylie Figueira of the Victoria Pony Club won the single round plus jump-off class on Raven, with Emily Lindsay of the Rising Star Pony Club second on Tarragon and Hilary Howran of the Kawartha Pony Club third on Mackeeba. Pauline Andrews of the Brooklin Pony Club took top spot in the power and speed class, with Kendra Abbey of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club second riding Willow and Ms Figueira third. Ms Abbey won the medal class, with Carrie Doorenspleet of the Durham Pony Club second on God Rush Frontier and Samantha Lobbezoo of the Brooklin Pony Club third on Ride 'em Harley Style. Ms Figueira was Champion and Ms Abbey was the Reserve.
Starter Division
In the single round plus jump-off class, first place went to Madison Wilks of the Durham Pony Club and her mount Mega Cool. Karly Coles of the Brooklin Pony Club took second aboard Rocky, and Nikki Ince of the King Pony Club was third on Maximus. Ms Wilks also won the power and speed class, with Ms Coles again second and Brynn Jobb of Brooklin third riding Springfield's Clyde. Maddy Lang of the King Pony Club took top spot in the medal class riding Balmoral, with Ms Wilks second and Karen Foell of the Toronto & North York Pony Club third on Delicately Refined. Ms Wilks was Champion with Ms Coles the Reserve.
Beginner Division
Jennifer McKeen of the Oshawa Pony Club won the single round plus jump-off class riding Mya. Second place went to Alexandra Reynolds of the Kawartha Pony Club riding She's Like the Wind, with Jessica McVittie of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club third on Cute as a Button. Stephanie Rutherford of the Oshawa Pony Club won the power and speed class on Royal Court Jester, Ms Reynolds was again second and Julia McGill of the Durham Pony Club third on Dressed to Kill. Kataryna Borysiak of the Oshawa Pony Club won the medal class on Midnight Magic, with Erin McLaughlin of Toronto & North York second on Heineken and Ms Rutherford third. Ms McKeen was Champion and Ms Rutherford was the Reserve.
Novice Division
This Division had only two entries. In the single round plus jump-off class, Andrea McGill of the Durham Pony Club was the winner aboard Phoenix Rising, with Rebecca Adrian of Kawartha second on Narhan's Gift. Ms Adrian won the other two classes with Ms McGill second. Ms Adrian was Novice Champion with Ms McGill the Reserve.
