Disciplines

Pony Club encompasses various disciplines, and the emphasis on each depends on the specific branch of which you are a member.

The fundamental mounted disciplines within Pony Club include Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross Country. These serve as foundational elements for eventing and the Rallies organized by the BC Lower Mainland Region.

An integral aspect of Pony Club is equipping members with horse care skills, known as stable management. This unmounted facet is open to competition, with the BC Lower Mainland Region hosting an annual Quiz where members showcase their knowledge of horses, horse care, and tack. Stable management is also featured in the yearly Rally hosted by the BC Lower Mainland Region.

In addition to these disciplines, Pony Clubs engage in various other activities. Mounted games, such as Prince Philip Games and Tetrathlon, provide fun and diverse opportunities. Many members actively participate in disciplines like hunter, jumpers, 3 day eventing, or even Western riding events.
