Sports in Pony Club
International Tetrathlon is held every second year and is now hosted by the UK and Ireland, with participants spending part of the tour in one country and the rest of the tour in the second country. The US and Canada now host their own exchange in separate years.
Tetrathlon is comprised of Riding, Running, Swimming and Shooting, with slight differences in each country. For example, although most countries shoot with air pistols, in Ireland all competitors sometimes use rifles.

Teams will fly into Bristol Airport on Friday 24th July and fly out of Birmingham Airport on Tuesday 11th August. The Exchange will comprise a range of training, competitive and cultural activities, including competing at the Senior International competition over the weekend of 1st/2nd August and the Tetrathlon Championships from 7th - 9th August. A Land Fee will be payable per competitor and coach/chaperone, which will be published when further budgeting work has been completed, it is hoped prior to Christmas. A comprehensive itinerary will be published in April 2020. Competitions will be conducted in accordance with UK Open Tetrathlon Rules 2020 - a link to the 2019 rules is appended below, the 2020 rules will be available to download in 2020. The Ride phase will be in accordance with Arena Jumping Rules contained in Appendix C, which will contain certain scoring and timing amendments for 2020.
