It is with great sadness that the Canadian Pony Club announces Dr. Colin Peace passed away on October 2, 2021.
Colin began volunteering for Canadian Pony Club in 1981 with Guelph Pony Club (Western Ontario Region) but his family were supporters of the Pony Club in the UK since 1938. He was a passionate veterinarian who only retired at age 83!
Colin founded Tetrathlon in 1965 with the Newmarket and Thurnlow Branch in the UK and then brought it to Canada in 1981. It was his passion as was modern pentathlon. He is an inductee on the CPC Wall of Fame as well as an Honourary Life Member for his numerous contributions to CPC.
His legacy will live on with Tetrathlon but he will be greatly missed by the youth and members alike.

The Canadian Pony Club would like to offer its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Jordan McDonald. We were deeply saddened to learn of his untimely death in a tragic eventing competition in England in early June, 2014.
Jordan was a member from 1995 through 2000 of the Richmond Pony Club branch of the British Columbia Lower Mainland Region and achieved his C1. He is remembered as kind, outgoing and deeply caring of his equine partners. He epitomized the CPC values of "Loyalty-Character-Sportsmanship" - always willing to lend a hand and supportive of fellow members and competitors alike.
Donations in Jordan's memory to the SPCA would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness that The Canadian Pony Club announces the passing of Barbara Grimm who gave so much to the CPC.
Barbara was a long standing branch, regional and national volunteer with the Canadian Pony Club. She started with the Tynedale PC in the Central Ontario Region in the mid 1980's when her two girls, Heather and Kathleen, joined the branch.
She was very active in all club activities and especially PPG across the region. She held numerous positions throughout the years including Regional Secretary, Membership and Visiting Commissioner for COR. She was also the CPC National Secretary and the first National Chair for Disciplines. She contributed to the organization of so many events in years past including the yearly PPG competitions at the CNE, the Ontario Pony Club's Tournament of Champions (OPTOC) and, lastly, the CPC 75th Anniversary Celebration in 2009. For her volunteerism and dedication, Barb was voted an Honourary Lifetime Member by the National Board of Directors and is listed on the CPC Wall of Achievement.
Our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Barbara will be sadly missed by all.

The Canadian Pony Club would like to offer its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Elaine Partington.
From her first horse Rebel Maiden to her partnership in a herd of Warmbloods, Elaine was engrossed in the horse world.
Elaine and her husband had been involved in 4-H then the Pony Club and Saskatoon Riding Club. After a few years of each running their business and dreaming of having an indoor riding facility the opportunity arose for Elaine to get involved in a partnership at Ebon Stables. With Elaine's vision and the support of several hundred Pony Club parents, riders across the span of ages, hunter/jumper and dressage enthusiasts and the Blacklock family, the dream has come a long way.
