Job Description and Responsibilities:
Act as a professional advisor to the Board of Directors
Develop a marketing and fundraising plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the organization
Provide support to the board by preparing marketing and fundraising materials for board meetings
Ensure that the marketing and fundraising programs by the organization contribute to the organization's mission and reflect the priorities of the board
Evaluate the delivery of the marketing and fundraising programs of the organization to improve effectiveness
Oversee the planning, implementation, execution of special projects
Work with the board to secure adequate funding for the operation of the organization
Research funding sources, oversee the development of fundraising plan and write funding proposals and grants
Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of the organization and to identify changes in the community served by the organization
Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization
Update and create new promotional materials
Provide updated content to webmaster
Create a comprehensive marketing strategy
Qualifications:
University Degree in a related field
Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to the non-profit/voluntary organizations
Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary organizations
Knowledge of Pony Club
Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the organization
Knowledge of project management
Proficiency in the following is required:

Financial management
Email
Social Media
Data Management
Issuing Press Releases
Details:
Salary: $18.00/hr for 20 hrs a week
