Jordan Levisky:

Jordan Levisky

Hello,

My name is Jordan Levisky. I am eighteen years old. I own two horses (Oz and Bentley) that live on my property located in Almonte, Ontario. I am currently attending Algonquin College for the Business Management and Entrepreneurship program. After Algonquin, I will be heading to the United States to study at Kentucky Horseshoeing School (or Heartland Horseshoeing School). After this journey, I hope to open up my own farrier business in Ontario.

I have been taking riding lessons ever since I joined Canadian Pony Club, back in 2011. My main discipline is eventing, but I have some hunter/jumper background mixed in.  In Pony Club, I received my level C2FR + BSM. I hope to finish my C2 riding and my ‘B’ lungeing. I am currently apart of Trillium Pony Club which is located in the Munster/Richmond area.  I have met some incredible people along the way. I have also had the incredible opportunity to fly out to Calgary, Alberta, as Team Captain of the SLOV C Team for National Quiz 2015. The experiences and friendships along the way have been amazing. I could not have asked for a better Club to be in.

The reason why I was eager to join SLOV as a youth rep, was because I would like everyone to be heard. This Club is designed for riders to enjoy themselves, and learn along the way. There are some Pony Clubbers who are shy and others who are very outgoing. I want everyone to enjoy their time in Pony Club. Get the opportunities that we all dream of. I hope that Shay Brokate, Co-SLOV Regional Youth Representative, and I can make things happen for everyone. Please do not hesitate to ask either one of us about any of your questions. If you would like to conact us, we are both on Facebook, or you can e-mail us at slovyouthreps@hotmail.com.

Shay Brokate

My name is Shaylie Brokate and I am 17 years old. I have been part of the Temperance Lake Pony Club in North Augusta, since I was seven. I have my own horse, George, a 15.3hh grey thoroughbred. Together we have accomplished my C2 level and are currently competing at the Pre-Training level in Eventing. We also really enjoy dressage and peaceful trail rides. I currently attend Thousand Islands Secondary School (TISS) in Brockville, and aspire to become a vet.

My Mom first put me on a horse when I was 3 years old at Terelisa Farms in N.A. and I have not looked back.  I am so thankful that I was introduced to Pony Club. It has taught me more than I could ever imagine and I am so thankful for every minute of it. It is incredible that a volunteer based, not for profit organization would work so hard to allow young people to gain so much knowledge! Pony Club has provided me with so many awesome experiences and has allowed me to meet many talented and amazing individuals. I have also represented SLOV at six different National events across Canada!

I am so excited to be partnered with Jordan as your SLOV Youth Reps and to give back to this organization. Please, don’t hesitate to contact us, chat with us, call us, snapchat us, anything! We want to hear from you! We have so many awesome plans that we want to put into place to make 2016 the best year yet!
